About Gosey hill

Circa 1983, gifted songwriter & guitarist Andy H. was putting a band together. Kate's bass playing chops & silky smooth voice made her Andy's 1st contact. Rob’s big mouth & penchant for outbursts in song earned him regular visits to the principal’s office, but also a visit from Andy. It didn't take long to realize the band needed a lead guitar player. Enter Sumeet.  

The four performed a few gigs together, highlighted with the 1984 HS talent show, Ren Fair where Kate’s Another Teenage Breakup Song debuted. The band didn’t last, but the connection sure did.

Sumeet went off to college while Rob & Kate continued to work together in other music projects.

Kate & Rob reconnected at the 10-year HS reunion & never again lost contact.

Sumeet was MIA until the mid 2010s when the power of the internet allowed Rob to track him down.  At that point, Sumeet was in the midst of a self-proclaimed “20-year nap” away from playing, writing & performing. 

Things changed in 2021 when a note was stuck to a holiday greeting card: Sumeet woke up from his nap!  

A few months later Kate, on another road trip, found herself at Rob’s home where they both listened to one of Sumeet’s recent recordings. A quick conference call later & as they say... the rest is history!

Kate is a successful business owner, author, wife & mother of three. A regular on stages across Texas, Kate also loves road trips, camping & hiking.

Sumeet is the managing partner for a prominent law firm. He is an avid golfer, a sage Egghead, husband & father of two residing in Florida.

Rob works part-time since retiring from banking. A devoted husband & step-father living in Michigan, Rob enjoys performing, motorcycling & travel.

Andy H., by the way, is still loved, admired & respected by the band. He is a successful small business owner in Michigan & occasionally consults with Gosey Hill.
